I recently had the pleasure of visiting Pitsford Scouts to join their mini Parliament session!
The scouts posed some really interesting questions about the roles MPs play in local communities, what I get up to day-to-day, and whether I had met the Queen!
We then created our own mini Parliament and took part in a fierce debate about whether sweets should be banned in schools and whether being outdoors is better than indoors.
I'm pleased to say being outdoors won the vote, as did keeping sweets in schools!
The scouts have some really interesting trips coming up, as well as plans for how to collect more badges for their shirts. I look forward to hearing all about their achievements during my next visit.
Thank you to Pitsford Scouts for such a warm welcome.
If you are part of or run a local group in the constituency and would like me to visit, please get in touch at chris.heatonharris.mp@parliament.uk.
