This afternoon I had the pleasure of visiting Sammuel and Natasha at Sol Haven Farm in Moulton.
Sol Haven is an eco-sustainable farm with an education and rejuvenation centre which hosts wellbeing projects, particularly for vulnerable people. The couple have a track record of success and, as well as helping over 500 people since opening, they received the Prime Minister's Points of Light award earlier this year.
I'm incredibly proud of Sammuel and Natasha's commitment to supporting homeless and vulnerable people in our community and it is only right that such outstanding individuals are recognised for their achievements.
During my tour, Sammuel and Natasha talked me through their new wellbeing course which has been funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. The 'Ploughing the Mind' 12-week course is designed to support people struggling with their mental health and includes horticultural therapy, movement meditation, drumming, and cooking.
I had the opportunity to try my hand at drumming therapy in their Yurt which was incredibly relaxing! After helping to water their impressive selection of herbs and vegetables, Sammuel and Natasha also toured me around their Earth Dome which is used for retreats, treatments, and workshops.
A huge thank you to Natasha and Sammuel for taking time out of their busy schedules to show me around their lovely farm.
