I am pleased to announce that this year's Aviva Community Fund has just launched! This is a scheme that awards funding of up to £25,000 for local community projects across a range of categories such as skills for life, health & wellbeing, and community support. Over 450 people managed to get their project funded last year, and I have been told that even more grants are available this time round!
Applications can be made until 12 noon on 10th October via https://www.aviva.co.uk/good-thinking/community-fund/. There will be a chance to vote for your favourite projects, with winners announced in January 2018.
I encourage you to get on board with this fantastic opportunity, and make a real difference to the lives of the good people in Daventry!
How to apply?
All you have to do is tell Aviva what you would do with the money and just how much of a difference it could make to the community. Only the top voted projects in each category will make it through to the Finals, so make sure you tell everyone about your project and its importance to Daventry! The application's closing date is 20 days from now so make sure you get cracking.
Your project is right for the Aviva Community Fund if it:
- will make a positive difference in your community
- is associated with a community organisation or charity, and will take place in the UK
- will be completed or well underway before 31 December 2018
- can ideally be completed with the requested funding alone.
Creating and submitting your project is easy. Just follow these four simple steps:
- Identify a project that will have a positive impact in Daventry. You can submit a project for or on behalf of any not-for-profit community organisation.
- Enter it in the Aviva Community Fund. (You'll have to register.)
- Add photos and videos to paint a better picture for the public.
- Get your friends, family and more to vote for your project. Promote it by getting in touch with them, by using Facebook, Twitter, community events or any other way that will get attention.
You can apply for one of these four funding levels:
- Up to £1,000 (380 awards)
- Up to £5,000 (40 awards)
- Up to £10,000 (20 awards)
- Up to £25,000 (8 awards)
Applications close at noon on October 10th so be quick!
