Parents and carers, schools and those interested in school admissions arrangements in Northamptonshire are being invited to give their views on proposed changes to school admissions arrangements for the September 2020 intakes.
Consultation on school admission arrangements takes place annually. Admission authorities for schools - Northamptonshire County Council, governing bodies and academy trusts - are required to carry out a consultation if changes are proposed to admission arrangements for the following school year. Schools also have to consult on theirs admission arrangements at least once every seven years, even if there have been no changes during that period.
The admission arrangements include the published admission number (PAN) for a schools and the oversubscription criteria.
The consultation is now open and will run to 21 December, 2018. Admission authorities of schools must determine (i.e. formally agree) and publish their admission arrangements for 2020 by 28 February, 2019.
