Students at Moulton School & Science College were delighted last week to show Daventry Conservative Candidate and previous local MP, Chris Heaton-Harris their exciting new science facilities.
Supported by a successful bid to the DfE, all 8 of the school’s 40 year old laboratories, including the science technician and preparation area, have been completely renewed from floor to ceiling; representing an investment of £335,000.
Head of Science, Richard Tudor, said 'The upgrading of these facilities has given us a fabulous environment in which to teach our students, and new additions to equipment, such as portable fume cupboards, have the capacity to greatly enhance the students’ experience’.
Headteacher, Trevor Jones, said ‘We are very proud of our status as a Science College, and of the scientific learning that takes place here at school. This provides the staff and students with the learning environment necessary to further develop the already excellent work that goes on with the subject’.
