Calling all local shopkeepers – there are two weeks left to enter the Best Small Shops Competition.
The Best Small Shops Competition has been launched to promote small shops and the role they play in local communities. Last year’s competition had press coverage reaching 3.25 million people and over 600 shops entered the competition. Entries must be a non-corporate business selling goods or services for consumption rather than resale and submissions will be judged based on a shop's entrepreneurial activities, their impact within the community and innovation in their business.
I encourage all small shop owners to throw their hat in the ring to represent Daventry’s small shops. Taking part in this competition would be a fantastic opportunity for any small business to compete and promote their name. The final will be held in parliament on 5th November and hosted by the Ms Ruth George MP, Chair of the APPG on Small Shops.
