I am looking for a caseworker to join my wonderful team in my Daventry office.
The successful applicant will be responsible for handling casework on a day-to-day basis, liaising with constituents and third parties and assisting with meetings and constituency events.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Deal with large numbers of standard queries, as well as assisting on more complex cases from members of the public by phone, email, or face to face. Ongoing communication may be required.
- Draft responses to constituents.
- Ensure that each case is dealt with promptly, sensitively, confidentially and accurately in accordance with the MP.
- Gather relevant information to assist with resolving cases.
- Log all cases; monitor progress and ensure all identified actions are taken.
- Ensure records are kept and information managed confidentially in line with the data protection legislation.
- Assist meetings and other constituency events, and follow up as appropriate.
- There may be a requirement for the role holder to travel to Westminster occasionally.
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- A sense of humour (needed in these times), or at least the ability to pretend my jokes are funny.
- Ability to prioritise different projects and work to tight deadlines.
- Be someone who is confident and not afraid to get stuck in with a small team.
- Knowledge of the Daventry constituency, understanding of local issues, and sympathetic to the values of the Conservative Party.
