Last Friday, I had the pleasure of visiting the Air Ambulance & Children’s Air Ambulance warehouse at the Daventry Trading Hub.
It was lovely to meet the team and have a tour of the depositary, where I learned about the various facilities that they use to reduce waste by recycling the goods donated.
The clothing bank provides a way for constituents to get involved with the charity by donating unwanted clothes, with the benefit of massively helping out those most vulnerable, whilst reducing landfill waste.
Other facilities include an IT Reuse centre, where donated technology is data wiped and then listed on eBay to raise the vital funds for the critical care service.
If you wish to donate any tech, please be reassured that they share their data wiping partner with the Ministry of Defence, so all sensitive data is permanently disposed of.
Best of all, this service is completely free of charge - from collection to wiping. With all profits going towards a worthwhile cause that does so much for the community.
